Mayan Ruin Wedding at Altun Ha
Maya Ruin Weddings are becoming very popular among Destination Wedding Couples and to make the experience even better, I came up with a great package that is only possible in one Country, Belize.
Belize is not only home to many Maya Sites, it is also home to the second largest living Barrier Reef in the World making it easy to get married on the Maya Ruins in the Mainland and then hop on a plane and fly back to Ambergris Caye for your Beach Photo Shoot and/or Sunset Cruise along our Great Barrier Reef.
Ambergris Caye also has its own Maya Site, the Marco Gonzalez Maya Site. While it does not have any Maya temples, it can be an alternative if the trip to the mainland and then back to the Island sound too hectic for you.
Here are a few photos for you to enjoy and see what I am talking about. This Wedding took place at the Altun Ha Maya Site which is located 30 miles (50 km) north of Belize City. We took pictures at the site and then flew back to San Pedro Town to do the Beach Photo Shoot.
