If you ask me to recommend a restaurant in town, the first restaurant that comes to mind is Elvi’s Kitchen, “Where Something Good is Always Cooking”. Yes, the internationally & nationally renown family owned restaurant that has been around for more than 35 years where I’ve been a customer ever since they were Elvi’s Burger Isle. And I’m not saying this because I won a FREE lunch from them today 🙂
Yes, Elvi’s, like many other businesses in town, is engaging in the social media revolution and today it was “Give-Away Wednesdays”. They ask a question on their facebook page wall and if you answer correctly, and before anyone else does, you win a prize. Simple! The reward for today, a FREE lunch special, Conch Fritters. YUMMY!
When I saw today’s question, I knew I could win because I knew my grandmother knew the answer. You see, my grandmother and Mrs. Elvi grew up being best friends; and they still are. I called my grandmother, and it felt like the longest ring I’ve ever heard, but right after she picked up the phone and told me the answer, I quickly got in facebook and answered the question.
